Answering myself because I already almost made it too complicated. I am using just three lines: date, energy, and what changed by the next check-in.
Same here. Correspondences first, then a line for how it actually felt in meditation, sleep, or spellwork.
Color tabs help me more than categories. Green for herbs, purple for tarot, silver for moon notes, and plain pages for everything else.
That is plenty. I would write the intention first, dress the candle lightly if safe, and keep the salt contained instead of scattering it everywhere.
A cloth, one candle, one stone, and one rotating seasonal object. The limit can make it easier to keep the space meaningful.
Amethyst is my default because it is easy to pair with meditation and dream notes. The crystal guide is nice for checking correspondences.
