How To Choose Magical Correspondences
A correspondence is a symbolic match between a purpose and a material, color, timing, plant, stone, or ritual action. Use the finder as a starting point, then narrow the result to what is safe, available, and meaningful for the work in front of you.
- Start with the intention before choosing herbs, stones, colors, or moon timing.
- Pick one to three correspondences that point in the same direction.
- Substitute freely when a material is unsafe, unavailable, expensive, or culturally inappropriate for your practice.
- Keep notes on what you used so your own correspondence system can become more specific over time.
